1998 to 2022

H&T Group was established in 1998 to import Halal frozen meat from overseas. It then broadened its product lines to dairy, chilled meat and groceries, and became the chosen food supplier by premium hotel chains, cruise ships and airlines in Sabah.

Known for taking its customers' interest seriously by being the first in Sabah to be accredited with:

• ISO 9001 by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service)

• ISO 9001 by Standard Malaysia

• Halal by JAKIM, Malaysia

• MeSTI Food Safety by Ministry of Health, Malaysia

2022 onward

To serve its customer better with an even broader product lines and to enjoy economy of scale, H&T Group was acquired in 2022 by Bidfood, one of the world’s largest broad-line food service group listed on the JSE (Johannesburg Stock Exchange), and a constituent of JSE’s Top 40 Index, to become Bidfood East Malaysia (BEM).
